A family run traditional 17th century inn situated off the coastal road between Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth (voted 6th Best Beach in the Sunday Times 2007 list) to the north of Newquay.
The pub prides itself in its real ales and homemade food. There is a relaxing restaurant or two cosy bar areas with log fires that create the perfect atmosphere for dining and drinking. In addition to this there is a spacious family room overlooking the garden and children’s play area where you can enjoy a relaxing meal whilst the little ones play with a variety of games and activities

Carvery is served every Sunday lunchtime and they also offer a Daily Special's Board.
Newquay with all it’s major attractions is only 3 miles along the coast road. Local fishing lakes within ½ a mile. Mawgan Porth beach is less that ½ a mile which is ideal for sea bathing.
Watergate Bay is 1 mile away with it’s world famous extreme sports centre which includes surfing and wind kiting. Beacon Cove which is within easy reach is secluded even in the height of the season. Padstow is 5 miles up the coast.
Bedruthan Steps with its fantastic National Trust beaches is less than 2 miles away.
There is an excellent coastal path linking all these attractions.

Main access routes: From the A30- Follow the signs for Newquay Airport, after the airport turn right at the T-junction, then follow the road for approximately ½ mile. The Travellers Rest is located on your left with a large car park opposite. From Newquay- Take the coast road through Porth and Watergate Bay. Follow the signs for Trevarrian, after approximately 1-mile turn right at the junction. The Travellers Rest is located around 100 meters on the right hand side with a large car park opposite.
