Responsible Alcohol Retailing

This course provides essential knowledge of the responsibilities of alcohol retailers when making the sale of alcohol.  It provides additional protection to licensed premises  operators through expanding their employees knowledge of the licensing law and legislation and can be delivered at your individual licensed premises.

How long will it take?

Course runs over half a day (Minimum booking of 10 candidates required). 

Who is the course for?

The course is designed for anyone who works on licensed retail premises who is likely to be involved in the sale of alcohol.  This may include: 

  • Bar staff
  • Waiters / Waitresses
  • Off licence staff

What does the course include?

  • The nature of alcohol and the effect it has on the human body
  • The Licensing Act 2003
  • Social responsibilities relating to the sale of alcohol
  • How to recognise drunkenness
  • Strategies to prevent alcohol related crime

What qualification do I get?

Certificate issued by St Austell Brewery.
